If you've been looking for an alternative Internet service provider (ISP), and you've been thinking about Clearwire, please contact me. I am looking for somebody to name as a referral. For more details and contact info, check out cryinforhelp.blogspot.com , or email me at clearwirehelp@gmail.com .

Based on the comments on my blog, it sounds like nobody would be in their right mind to use clearwire. I haven't personally used it, but it sounds like several people locally (and around the Web, too) have had trouble with it.

a few friends of mine who have used it have had no issues so far. i think it is a nice alternative to traditional broadband, but since it is still a newer technology there are bound to be some bumps along the way.

Clearwire is a great alternative to folks who are not able to get DSL or Bendbroadband - but their speed is severely restricted - max 256kb uploads for instance, less than HALF the speed of Bendbroadband. I also resent their advertising of $xxx "For the first three months" - never telling you what the price will be AFTER that time unless you do some digging.

I tested from Overturf Butte with a solid line of sight of their towers ... only a single window on the third floor received spotty service.

    No thanks!
