<a href="http://www.ktvz.com/story.cfm?nav=news&storyID=15595">KTVZ has the news</a> on the denial. Are you happy about Wal-Mart being gone or wish they were here (OK, they <i>are</i> here, just not on Bend's north end)?
The traffic in that part of town is already horrible! Without major changes and road upgrades, a Wal-Mart would bring things to a complete stop.
Personally, I am not a big fan of Wal-Mart, but I do shop there every once in a while. I think other department stores in Bend are cleaner, friendlier, better organized and have better customer service.
